Call Forth What You Want To See

Death and life are in the power of the tongue…
Proverbs 18:21

When God saw darkness covering the waters, He said, “Let there be light,” and light existed. When Jesus saw a man’s withered hand, He said, “Stretch out your hand.” The man stretched it out and found it made whole.
Beloved, speak the good that you want to see, and not the bad that you may see in your circumstances. Instead of seeing yourself jobless, see yourself with a great job and call it forth. Say, “Because I’m God’s beloved, He will provide me with a fantastic job.” Then, start sending out those résumés!
Perhaps you want to get married. Instead of seeing yourself single for the rest of your life, see yourself having a wonderful marriage and call it forth. Say, “Because God favors me, I can’t wait to meet my life partner!” Then, trust the Lord to lead and position you to meet the right person!
Speak good over yourself because you know that God is for you, and step into the good plans that He has for you!

Unduplicated And Miraculous You........

Think of what a remarkable, unduplicated and miraculous thing it is to be you!
Of all the people have come and gone on earth, since the begining of the begining of time not ONE of them is like YOU.!

No one who has ever lived or is come has had or will have your combination of abilities, talents, appearance, friends, aquaintances and opportunities.
No one's hair grows exactly the way yours does or possess the depth of beauty you carry. No one's fingerprints are like yours.

No one has the same combination of secret, inside jokes and family expreessions that you know. The few people. What about prayers, is there anyone who prays exactly about the same concerns as you with the same frequency, amplitude and tenacity as you do: certainly there isnt anyone like you with that regard.

No one is loved by the same combination of people that love and cherish you. - NO ONE.

No one before, none to come is like you. You are absolutely unique. Enjoy your uniqueness.

You need not to pretend in order to seem like someone else. You were not meant be like someone else. You are meant to be you.
You need not have to lie to conceal the parts of you that are not like what you see in others.
Nowhere ever in all history will the same things be going on in anyone's mind, body, soul and spirit as are going on in yours even now whiles reading this note.
If you did not exist, there would be a hole in creation, a gap in history, something missing from the plan of human kind.
Treasure your uniqueness. Its a gift only to you by God. Enjoy it and share it.

No one can reach out to others in the same way that you can. No one can comfort with your kind of comfort. No one can bring your kind of understanding to another person and no one can be that cheerful, lighthearted and joyous in your way and style you do it and no one smiles your smiles:D.

Share your uniqueness. Let it be free to flow out amog your family, friends, loved ones and people you meet in the rush and cool of living wherever you are and go.
The gift of yourself was given to you to enjoy and share it.

See it! Receive it! Let it tickle you! Let it inform you! Let it nudge yoy! And let it inspire you!

YOU ARE UNIQUE MY DEAR.

Stay blessed and never forget our GOD almighty who has made you unique and special in his own standards.

The High Road of Love

"Love . . . is patient and kind. . . .
Love (God's love in us) . . . is ever ready
to believe the best of every person."
—1 Corinthians 13:4–5, 7 (Amplified)
It is so important that we learn to practice love in our lives on a daily basis. Many people refer to First Corinthians 13 as "the love chapter." Too often, we want to skip over reading that part of the Bible. I admit I have felt that way at times, but the Lord continues to lead me to read it. In fact, whenever my husband and I perform a marriage ceremony, I always read this portion of chapter 13 to the bride and groom:

1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7 (Amplified)
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

Put It Into Practice
If we would practice this passage daily, we could live peaceful, productive lives. The problem is, our flesh often gets in the way. Instead of ignoring injustices that are done to us, we want to get even; instead of walking in love, we want to repay evil for evil.
One of the things I witnessed in the life of my father-in-law, Kenneth E. Hagin, was that he not only taught about the love walk, he truly lived it. He never considered getting even. At times, my husband and I got exasperated when we heard others criticize and say hurtful things about our family or ministry. Sometimes we expressed our feelings to my father-in-law, but he would tell us, "Don't ever stoop to their level; always walk the high road." I'm forever grateful for his example and for his being straightforward with us. I still hear those words ringing in my ears when I'm tempted to take the low road and return evil for evil.
The test of walking in love is not something we pass one time and never have to experience again. The fact is, our love walk will be tested continually. Sometimes it seems as if I experience those kinds of tests on a daily basis!

Learn to Talk It Out
Life is too short to live in constant turmoil in your home. This holds true regarding your relationships with friends as well. When strife arises in our relationships, we can deal wisely with it and keep First Corinthians 13:4-7 as our foundation.
We can learn something about this from the Apostle Paul. The church at Corinth was suffering from such strife within it that he had to remind the members, "Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you" (2 Cor. 13:11). I believe we should adopt as our family motto, "Be of one mind. Live in peace."
In order to live out that instruction from Paul, we must learn to communicate effectively with others, beginning with our spouses and children. Communication is often the most difficult skill to master, because we can experience so many different emotions when we are sharing our thoughts and feelings. Paul talked about this in Ephesians 4:26-27: "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil." "Be angry and sin not" sounds like a contradictory statement, but it isn't. The Lord knows that anger is one of the emotions we experience in life, yet He tells us, "Although you may be feeling angry, do not sin." What exactly does that mean?
You may experience angry feelings, but don't use those feelings to get even. In the midst of anger, you might say words that you may not really mean, but those cutting words will forever ring in the ears of the recipient.

Take the High Road
When we choose the high road, love, it causes peace to reign in our relationships and in our lives.
It's important to express your love and appreciation for your family and friends on a continual basis. My husband and I make it a point to say "I love you" to each other many times a day, and I often say that to my children and grandchildren. We all need to be reassured of the love others have for us, and we need to reassure others of our love for them.
You may not have heard anyone say to you, "I love you," very often in your childhood, and you may find it awkward to say those words yourself. But I encourage you that if you'll start saying, "I love you," to people you care about, each time you repeat those words, they will become easier to say and more natural to you.
You can begin right now by determining that every day, not just on special occasions, you will walk in love and express words of love to your family and friends.

Healthy Eating Made Easy

To set yourself up for success, think about planning a healthy diet as a number of small, manageable steps rather than one big drastic change. If you approach the changes gradually and with commitment, you will have a healthy diet sooner than you think.
  • Simplify. Instead of being overly concerned with counting calories or measuring portion sizes, think of your diet in terms of color, variety, and freshness. This way it should be easier to make healthy choices. Focus on finding foods you love and easy recipes that incorporate a few fresh ingredients. Gradually, your diet will become healthier and more delicious.
  • Start slow and make changes to your eating habits over time. Trying to make your diet healthy overnight isn’t realistic or smart. Changing everything at once usually leads to cheating or giving up on your new eating plan. Make small steps, like adding a salad (full of different color vegetables) to your diet once a day or switching from butter to olive oil when cooking. As your small changes become habit, you can continue to add more healthy choices to your diet.
  • Every change you make to improve your diet matters. You don’t have to be perfect and you don’t have to completely eliminate foods you enjoy to have a healthy diet. The long term goal is to feel good, have more energy, and reduce the risk of cancer and disease. Don’t let your missteps derail you—every healthy food choice you make counts.

People often think of healthy eating as an all or nothing proposition, but a key foundation for any healthy diet is moderation. But what is moderation? How much is a moderate amount? That really depends on you and your overall eating habits. The goal of healthy eating is to develop a diet that you can maintain for life, not just a few weeks or months, or until you've hit your ideal weight. So try to think of moderation in terms of balance. Despite what certain fad diets would have you believe, we all need a balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, fiber, vitamins, and minerals to sustain a healthy body.
For most of us, moderation or balance means eating less than we do now. More specifically, it means eating far less of the unhealthy stuff (refined sugar, saturated fat, for example) and more of the healthy (such as fresh fruit and vegetables). But it doesn't mean eliminating the foods you love. Eating bacon for breakfast once a week, for example, could be considered moderation if you follow it with a healthy lunch and dinner—but not if you follow it with a box of donuts and a sausage pizza. If you eat 100 calories of chocolate one afternoon, balance it out by deducting 100 calories from your evening meal. If you're still hungry, fill up with an extra serving of fresh vegetables.
  • Try not to think of certain foods as “off-limits.” When you ban certain foods or food groups, it is natural to want those foods more, and then feel like a failure if you give in to temptation. If you are drawn towards sweet, salty, or unhealthy foods, start by reducing portion sizes and not eating them as often. Later you may find yourself craving them less or thinking of them as only occasional indulgences.
  • Think smaller portions. Serving sizes have ballooned recently, particularly in restaurants. When dining out, choose a starter instead of an entree, split a dish with a friend, and don't order supersized anything. At home, use smaller plates, think about serving sizes in realistic terms, and start small. If you don't feel satisfied at the end of a meal, try adding more leafy green vegetables or rounding off the meal with fresh fruit. Visual cues can help with portion sizes–your serving of meat, fish, or chicken should be the size of a deck of cards, a slice of bread should be the size of a CD case, and half a cup of mashed potato, rice, or pasta is about the size of a traditional light bulb.

Healthy Eating
Healthy eating is about more than the food on your plate—it is also about how you think about food. Healthy eating habits can be learned and it is important to slow down and think about food as nourishment rather than just something to gulp down in between meetings or on the way to pick up the kids.
  • Eat with others whenever possible. Eating with other people has numerous social and emotional benefits—particularly for children—and allows you to model healthy eating habits. Eating in front of the TV or computer often leads to mindless overeating.
  • Take time to chew your food and enjoy mealtimes. Chew your food slowly, savoring every bite. We tend to rush though our meals, forgetting to actually taste the flavors and feel the textures of our food. Reconnect with the joy of eating.
  • Listen to your body. Ask yourself if you are really hungry, or have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty instead of hungry. During a meal, stop eating before you feel full. It actually takes a few minutes for your brain to tell your body that it has had enough food, so eat slowly.
  • Eat breakfast, and eat smaller meals throughout the day. A healthy breakfast can jumpstart your metabolism, and eating small, healthy meals throughout the day (rather than the standard three large meals) keeps your energy up and your metabolism going.
  • Avoid eating at night. Try to eat dinner earlier in the day and then fast for 14-16 hours until breakfast the next morning. Early studies suggest that this simple dietary adjustment—eating only when you’re most active and giving your digestive system a long break each day—may help to regulate weight. After-dinner snacks tend to be high in fat and calories so are best avoided, anyway.

Benefits Of Peanuts For Skin, Hair And Health

Peanuts are popularly used as a seed oil in most parts of the world. Since they are obtained from the ground, they are also sometimes called as groundnuts. These are also taken as snacks . They are actually legumes but since they have all the properties of nuts like almonds, cashew nuts, etc., these are also included in the family of nuts. Here are some of the most well known Health Benefits of Peanuts.

1. Rich in energy: Peanuts contain vitamins, minerals, nutrients, anti-oxidants and thus are rich energy sources.
2. Cholesterol: It lowers bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol in the body due to the presence of the mono-unsaturated fatty acids especially Oleic acid that prevents coronary diseases.

3. Growth: Peanuts are rich in proteins. The amino acids present in them are good for proper growth and development of body.

4. Against stomach cancer: Poly-phenolic anti-oxidants are present in the peanuts in high concentrations. P-Coumaric acid has the ability to reduce the risk of stomach cancer by reducing the productions of carcinogenic nitrous-amines.

5. Against heart diseases, nerves diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, and infections: A poly-phenolic anti-oxidant, Resveratrol present in Peanuts prevents heart diseases, cancers, nervous diseases and viral or fungal infections efficiently.

6. Reduces stroke risk: Again the anti-oxidant, Resveratrol in peanuts prevents heart strokes by increasing the production of nitric oxide.

 7. Anti-oxidants: Peanuts contain anti-oxidants in high concentrations. These anti-oxidants become more active when peanuts are boiled. There is a 2-fold increase in Biochanin-A and 4-fold increase in Genistein content. And these reduce the damage done by free radicals produced in the body.

8. Protects skin: Vitamin E in peanuts helps in maintaining the integrity of cells of mucous membrane and the skin and thus protects them from free radicals which cause great damage.

9. Peanuts contain B complex, vitamins like niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, vitamin B6, vitamin B9, pantothenic acid etc. 1

0. Minerals: Potassium, manganese, copper, calcium, magnesium, iron, selenium and zinc are some of the minerals present in peanuts. And they all play an important role in many different body functions.

11. Gall stones: Just an ounce of peanuts or two tablespoons of peanut butter each week can save you from gall stones or gallbladder diseases with 25% reduced risk.

12. Low risk of weight gain: Women who eat peanuts or peanut butter at least twice a week are less likely to be susceptible to obesity than those who don’t. So if you are eating peanut butter every morning with bread slices, then you have less chances of gaining weight.

13. Colon cancer: Peanuts can reduce Colon cancer especially in women. Eating at least 2 spoons of peanut butter twice a week can reduce the risk of colon cancer in women by upto 58% and in men by upto 27%.

14. Helps in fertility: If taken before and during early pregnancy, the folic acid lowers the risk of baby being born with serious neural tube defects reduced by up to 70%.

 15. Regulates blood sugar: Manganese in peanuts helps in calcium absorption, fats and carbohydrates metabolism and sugar level regulation in blood.

16. Fights depression: Low Serotonin levels leads to depression. Tryptophan in peanuts increases the release of this chemical and thus helps you fight depression. Thus you can see that Peanut benefits to health are many and you should make it a point to take in a minimum of two tablespoons of peanut butter each week in order to keep those dangerous diseases away and stay healthy! Benefits of Peanuts for Skin: Apart from satisfying hunger pangs, consumption of peanuts also makes the skin smooth, supple and younger looking. Some of the benefits of peanuts for skin include:

17. The anti-inflammatory properties of peanuts treat skin disorders like psoriasis and eczema. The fatty acids present in peanuts also reduce swelling and skin redness. Peanuts contain Vitamin E, zinc and magnesium, which keeps the skin glowing from within and fights the bacteria that lead to acne. The protein content in peanuts also helps with cell regeneration.

 18. Peanuts contain a relatively good amount of fatty acids which is believed to be critical to the brain’s nerve cells. This brain friendly cell helps with stress management and mood swings to prevent various skin disorders like wrinkles, fine line and dullness.

19. Fiber in nuts is essential for the elimination of toxins and waste. Toxins inside the body reflect on our outside appearance, causing breakout, dullness and excess oil. Eating peanuts regularly helps flush out excess toxins from the body to give you a healthy skin.

 20. Peanut is loaded with magnesium which calms our nerve, muscles and blood vessels to provide better blood flow to the skin. This, in turn, gives you a youthful and healthy skin.

 21. Skin damage occurs as a result of oxidation, a chemical process in which unstable molecules called free radicals steal electrons from healthy cells. Vitamin E in peanuts defends our skin’s cells against the damage of oxidative stress. It guards our skin from the harsh UV rays of the sun to protect against sun burn and skin damage.

 22. Signs of ageing like wrinkles, discoloration and decreased elasticity are one of our biggest beauty concerns. Peanut contains significant amount of Vitamin C which is required for the production of collagen. Collagen is required to sustain tendons, skin and cartilage. It provides firmness and elasticity to the skin to keep it young and supple.

23. Beta carotene, an antioxidant found in peanuts is very critical for skin’s health. It is converted into Vitamin A in the body which helps in the growth and repair of body tissues. Thus peanuts help to heal wounds and bruises at a faster pace.

 24. Peanuts are packed with omega 3 fatty acids which help our skin in many ways. Omega 3 fatty acids reduce inflammation in the body to prevent skin eruptions. It lowers the risk of developing squamous cell skin cancer. It also moisturizes and hydrates the skin from within to treat dry and scaly skin.

25. Peanuts are very effective for treating skin problems like pustules, skin rashes and rosacea.

 26. Peanut butter facial mask is gaining immense popularity these days. Applying natural peanut butter on the face clears away the dirt and impurities to give you a healthy looking skin. Wash your face with a cleanser and then apply peanut butter on your entire face. Allow the mask to dry and then wash it off by massaging your skin slowly in circular motions. Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry. Do a patch test first and then apply it to the entire face as allergic reactions are very common side effects of peanuts. Girls who are allergic to peanuts should stay away from it. Benefits of Peanuts for Hair:

27. Peanuts contain several hair friendly nutrients that are beneficial for maintaining healthy hair. Peanut contains a high level of omega 3 fatty acids which strengthens scalp health and hair follicles to promote hair growth.

 28. Peanut is an excellent source of l-arginine, an amino acid which is very helpful for treating male pattern baldness and to encourage the growth of healthy hair. It also improves the health of artery walls and prevents blood clotting to improve blood flow. A proper blood flow throughout the body and hair is imperative to get healthy and strong hair.

29. Deficiency in vitamin E can lead to brittle and weak hair which can easily break. Including proper level of vitamin E in your diet ensures that the hair roots receive a rich supply of hair healthy vitamins to keep them strong and healthy.

Thine is the kingdom
and the power and the glory.
 Well,
all the power belongs to my King.
We’re around here talking about black power and white power and green power,
but it’s God’s power.
 Thine is the power
. Yeah. And the glory.
We try to get prestige and honour and glory for ourselves,
but the glory is all His.

Yes.
Thine is the Kingdom and the power and glory,
forever and ever and ever and ever.

 How long is that?
And ever and ever and ever and ever.

A letter to my future wife: What my mum thinks about you

Dear Serwaa,
Today I want to tell you what your would-be mother-in-law thinks about you. Men are more secretive than women, you know? Even though, you’ve visited my parents for the third time, I’m yet to hear any comment about you from my father.

I remember, on your last visit, I intentionally asked him what he made of you. Guess what he told me. “Will my opinion change anything?” he asked. “What matters is what you think about her and what you two will do to become the ideal couple you would want to be,” he added thoughtfully.
But my mother is the polar opposite of my father. She often has something to say. In fact, on the three occasions, she gave different remarks and I think it will not be bad to share her thoughts with you, especially now that things are getting better.

The first time we visited, she was somewhat ambivalent about our relationship. She actually didn’t know you much, but that did not stop her from drawing a hasty conclusion about you. Like many Ghanaians, she reviews books by looking at their covers.
She asked how I was going to cope with this “high time girl.” You see, rural folks are quite apprehensive of ladies from the city. So when their sons return to the village with a lady from the city, they get worried, even when they cannot voice it. That was her first worry, and your appearance seemed to have corroborated her long-held suspicion. She was not impressed with your dress code, which incidentally happened to be my main headache immediately you accepted my proposal.
“We all know she is beautiful and has the type of skin we will feel reluctant to touch until we have washed our hands,” she began. “But must she show the parts that should remain hidden to the rest of the world? Is that not meant for you alone? Or is that how you city people dress?...”
Serwaa, I had to interpose midway through her bombardment of questions, explaining that down south was so cold and that you found it difficult to cope with the blistering heat of the savannah sun. But she was still not satisfied. And if you could remember, I intensified my attention on your dress code ever since we returned from our first visit.
Let me make it clear that I was not acting just because of the pressure from my mother. No! I am a man of my own, and though I take her advice as to how to behave in a relationship, I always think through what she tells me and sift her opinions very well.
But my mother’s opinion about you is not only negative.

Serwaa, you did something at our first visit that impressed me so much that I wish my mother knew it was genuine. You resisted protests from my sisters and helped to tidy up the compound before my mother even woke up to blame me for not allowing you to rest after that torturous journey. Your active participation in the household chores wormed your way into my mother’s heart but she still thought it was my initiative.
“She has actually listened to you and did everything you people rehearsed before coming,” she remarked sarcastically the night before we left. She didn’t know that you did everything you did at your own volition and that I was pleasantly surprised the way you fitted into the family as though we grew up together. She was surprised when I told her I had no hand in that. She and my sisters have not stopped praising you for that behaviour.

I have told you before that the success of our relationship and our marriage will depend on people and factors beyond the two of us. And although my father has not said anything openly about you, my mother gives me the impression that you have earned their appreciation and admiration, especially when they compare you with other would-be brides from the city.
In fact, they were highly prejudiced against you. “When I saw her, what came to mind was Atanga’s city girl,” my mother later confided in me after she told me she was wrong in judging you before knowing you.
Atanga was a young man from Bongo, who returned from the university with a lady he intended to marry. This lady came from the city and behaved as though the rest of the people in the village were 5th century folks. She did not taste any of their foods and would not drink from the borehole. When her bottled water got finished, Atanga had to travel to Bolgatanga to buy her drinking water.

The story, which is often told with some kind of exaggeration, has it that Atanga’s father one day called his son and asked him to choose between him (his father) and the lady.
“If your would-be spouse has no regard for your parents, don’t think he or she would buy you for a cowry,” he told him. But Atanga did not face any difficulty calling the relationship quits. The lady in question ended the relationship immediately they got back to the city.
In fact, every household in Bongo knows the story about Atanga’s city lady and some parents in my area often advised their children against marrying from the city. But I think you have vindicated me. And you have paved way for other young men who want to make their choices outside their communities and regions to go ahead without resistance.
“I sometimes think she is someone from my own womb,” my mother said of you on our last visit. “It is not about where they come as we used to think. It is the character of the person. How they were trained.”

Serwaa, the message I’m trying to put across is that many parents still have prejudices about where someone is bred. Relationships still fail because of hostile attitudes of parents of either one or both sides of the relationship. But I think it is often the fault of those in the relationship.
Our elders say a man who is to be eaten does not oil himself and sit by fire. Sometimes the behaviour of the pair in the relationship often aggravate these prejudices, which are sometimes unfounded. To some extent, my father was right when he asked whether his opinion would change anything. But in most cases the opinion of parents about their child’s choice matters a lot, especially when the opinion is negative and so strong that it leads to opposition.
For now we cannot wish away ethnic prejudices in our country, especially at a time when politicians are not tired of reminding us how different we are in their quest to stay in power. But I believe if every lady or young man behaves like you, then no parent would have the cause to worry about their son or daughter marrying into another culture. And one does not treat parents and families of one’s lover with contempt. It’s disastrous for any relationship.

The story of Atanga’s city lady spread like wild fire in the harmattan in and around Bongo. Though not everybody will hear about yours, I have no doubt that my kinsmen and kinswomen in Bongo Beo and its environs have had their prejudices about city ladies wiped.
And more importantly, you’re my mother’s heartbeat. “Only a foolish man will mistreat such a well-behaved woman,” she concluded after advising me to take good care of you. Is it not wonderful to have such backing and support from your in-laws to be?
Serwaa, I love you and will continue to cherish you. You have proven that you’re a truly a wise woman and I will not be foolish to mistreat you.
Yours truly,

Manasseh. (www.myjoyonline.com)

LIFTED BY LOVE!!

Behold!!! What manner of love the father has given unto us that we should be called the sons of God. Where we are lifted to greatness and higher heights beyond our human reasoning, understanding and capabilities.
Where our past, who we were, where we came from nor what we had matters no more.

This love is shared abroad in our hearts and what matters is who Christ is to us, what he has become unto us, what he has done, where he has being to, what he can do and his mercy and grace.

Where we look not unto the expectation of the world to live but unto Jesus Christ who has written up and finished our faith; in whom we live, move and have our being for existence.
What manner of love, by which He has placed in us the Holy spirit as our seal of sonship, where what we believe with our heart and confess with our mouth becomes a reality to live with and by. Where are always victors no matter what situation we encounter.

This love of God has become great in us and remains forever.
May your heart be sensitized by the Holy spirit in you to feel more of the father's love and live in the reality of its rewards.
May you encounter the reality of the greatness and the greater heights made possible and available by Christ for you.

Stay blessed.
SHALOM.

ALCOHOL

I can make anybody pretty
I can make you believe any lie
I can make you pick a fight
With somebody twice your size

I been known to cause a few break ups
I been known to cause a few births
I can make you new friends
Or get you fired from Work

And since the day I left Milwaukee
Lynchburg and Bordeaux France
Been making the bars lots of big money
And helping white people dance
I got you in trouble in high school
But college, now that was a ball
You had some of the best times
You'll never remember with me
Alcohol
Alcohol

I got blamed at your wedding reception
For your best man's embarrassing speech
And also for those
Naked pictures of you at the beach

I've influenced kings and world leaders
I helped Hemmingway write like he did
And I'll bet you a drink or two that I can make you
Put that lampshade on your head

'Cause since the day I left Milwaukee
Lynchburg and Bordeaux France
Been making a fool out of folks just like you
And helping white people dance
I'm medicine and I am poison
I can help you up or make you fall
You had some of the best times
You'll never remember with me
Alcohol

faith confessions

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
- Romans 4:19–21

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
- Hebrews 10:23

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
- Hebrews 11:11

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- Hebrews 11:1

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
- Isaiah 55:11

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
- Numbers 23:19

Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.
- Psalm 119:89

Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.
- 1 Kings 8:56

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
- Mark 11:23

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
- Mark 11:24

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- 2 Corinthians 5:7

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
- Galatians 5:6

...God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did...
- Romans 4:17

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- Hebrews 13:8

...For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
- Hebrews 11:32–34

FREEDOM IN CHRIST

'It is for freedom that Christ has set u free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery'.Gal 5:1
As a christian, you have to know that your salvation is real and so are all the benefits associated with the salvation you have.
Christ has set you free never to live in bondage and any form of slavery. You have a life of God that cannot be defeated by any form of slavery.
You need to know this all the time. Dont allow the devil to put a seed of unbelief and doubt in your heart.
What you see with your heart is more real than what the eye sees. Believe and see with uyour heart the freedom you have been endowed with.
Never let anxiety stop the flow of the Holy Spirit in you when times seem to be hard.No problem, curse, disease, etc has power over you and your freedom.
Let your heart always see and rejoice in the life of freedom you have now and beyond.
Believe it, it is very real.Christ has already suffered all your suffering for you, that's why He said on the cross "it is finished" .
Just take hold of your freedom and let your life be a wonder.

YOU ARE THE HOPE FOR THE WORLD

''For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of GOD'' (Rom. 8:19)

The only hope for world are the sons of GOD, and that's why Scripture declares that the whole of creation is waiting for the manifestation of the SONS of GOD.

Make up your mind not to remain in the babyhood stage of Christianity. Grow up to maturity because the world is waiting for you.

Take your Christian growth very seriously. It's only in the position of maturity in Christ that you can take your place as the 'matured son' of GOD and bring deliverance, healing, salvation and joy to a hurting.

GOD be with you and be your source of strength.

Faith Is the Language of Heaven

We all have testimonies of different things we’ve gone through. There have been some tremendous tests! But as you probably know, tests come, basically, just to prove what you already know! In school, they didn’t just pop a test on you on the first day.

They taught you first, and you learned things, and then a test was given. You didn’t learn by the test; you learned before the test. The test came to prove what you already knew.
Praise God, you can be prepared for the test! No matter what test comes, you can be prepared to ace it! But some of us have some cramming to do. I was always a crammer in school. Every test I took, I crammed for it the night before. I’m not proud of this. I don’t recommend it, but that’s just the way I’ve always been. And when God called me into the ministry, I said, “God, why in the world would You call somebody like me?” And He said (some of you are going to like this), “I know that you’re a crammer.

I know you’ve been known to procrastinate at times. But we’re in the last days.” And then He said, “I know you’ll cram till the end.” I was born in the right time! Praise God! We’re in the last days and we have to finish strong! Jesus said in John 16:33, “
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” And First John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” So if you’re born of God, you ought to expect to be an overcomer! Don’t expect to fail the test. When Jesus prayed for Peter in Luke 22:31 and 32, He said, “Peter, Satan has desired to have you to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith fail not.” Jesus prayed that Peter’s faith would not fail! Why? Because faith is the victory that overcomes the world! If our faith is going to be the victory that overcomes, then we have to know what to do with it because faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

Second Corinthians 4:13 in the New King James Version says, “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” We believe and therefore speak. Faith comes by hearing (Rom. 10:17), but it is released primarily by speaking. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” So guard your mouth.

The heart of the wise, the Bible says, teaches his mouth (Prov. 16:23). One day, I was meditating on some of these things—on confession and on words—and I asked God for more clarity. And this is what came up in my spirit. I heard, “Faith is a language.”Anne Durant Now think about what language is. Language is part of our culture! It’s how we communicate. As I thought about this, it just came up in my spirit that faith is the language of Heaven! It’s how Heaven talks! And if it’s the language of Heaven, then it’s also part of the culture of Heaven. So if you want the culture of Heaven on the earth, you need to learn how to speak the language of Heaven. They’re not talking about death in Heaven. They’re not talking about aches and pains. I have studied another language. And I know what happens when you study a language but don’t also immerse yourself in the culture.
You get a vocabulary, but you don’t know how to put all the words together to communicate properly. There are a lot of people who do that with faith. They know the vocabulary, but they can’t communicate the language properly! You have to get your tenses right when you’re speaking faith! Pretty much everything about faith is present tense!

The Bible says, “NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). So start thinking when you’re speaking, Is what I am saying going to take me closer to what I want from God, or further away from it? You may tell your kids, “Put your coat on. You’ll catch pneumonia.” But you don’t want that! So how about just telling them, “Put your coat on”? Don’t scare them with, “You’ll catch pneumonia.” Notice what Jesus said in Matthew chapter 12: MATTHEW 12:36–37 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Jesus said that you’ll have to give an account for every idle word. The word idle means “to shun the labor one ought to perform.” So idle words are words that you say without fully thinking. For example, what about those words that we say are “just between us” or “off the record”? There is a record. It says, “You’ll give account.” There is no “off the record.” We ought to make our words work for us! My husband and I are constantly watching our words.

We don’t say things like, “I can’t afford that,” because the Bible says, “He supplies all my need according to His riches in glory” (Phil. 4:19). Now I don’t deny the fact that I may not have enough money for something. But what I say is, “Not right now. I won’t get that just now.” If I say, “Oh man, I can’t afford that,” I am not giving God anything to work with. My husband and I work together on our words. If I hear something come out of his mouth that’s not faith, I just say, “What?” I give him a chance to think before he speaks the next time. And he does the same thing for me.

If I say something that’s not faith, he’ll say, “What?” and give me an opportunity to dig up that seed and plant another one. Sometimes we work hard on those words we want to say on purpose, but I want to exhort you to work just as hard on eliminating the other words—the doubt-filled words and the idle words—from your vocabulary. Faith is a language! And the more you speak it, the more you’ll have the culture of Heaven in your life, in your home, and in your family.

I work hard on my words. I’m constantly working on my words because I want what Heaven has and what God has. I want my faith to overcome in this life. And as a result, I’m seeing quicker results with the words I speak on purpose. And I like it. I
like living the life of faith. The Bible says, “The just shall live by faith” (Hab. 2:4; Rom. 1:17; Gal. 3:11; Heb. 10:38). So if we live by faith, we ought to be constantly aware of it. Praise the Lord! Our words work for us when we speak in faith—the language of Heaven! (By Anne Durant)
